On a whim, upon retirement, I enrolled in my first art class at a local community college. That class opened up a new world for me and now I spend many hours with my newfound passion. Painting mostly in acrylic and watercolor, I am inspired by nature, color, and light. I especially enjoy painting landscapes but find painting the ordinary and mundane satisfying as well. I have discovered painting to be liberating, meditative, and joyful. Most importantly I have discovered that painting is not a talent but rather a learned skill. I strive to let my journey be the art.
